A New York City high school from the NYC DOE hired an educational consultant to develop strategies for special education and general education teachers to improve their co-teaching practice. The NYC DOE contracted PMP Consulting to develop implementation protocols, team monitoring protocols and student learning impact processes for teachers and consultants, so that efficacy would be maximized. Methods of assessing success and/or challenges throughout the school year were also developed throughout the project.
PMP Consulting offered pedagogues, administrators, and educational consultants a variety of ways to implement and evaluate the most impactful co-teaching strategies so that students are on grade-level, special education students pass core area subjects, and all students are college-ready. Systems were also developed for both pedagogical consultants and teachers to consistently assess the impact of teacher implementation on student learning.
PMP Consulting collaborated with these stakeholders for a three-year contract with options for renewal at a prorated fee. Discounts were offered for repeat contracts for NYC DOE clients.
A restaurateur who owned three restaurants with the same theme, menu, and price range was concerned with specific issues occurring in this small chain of restaurants. All three restaurants had varying levels of monthly revenue. All three restaurants had high chef attrition. Lastly, all three had mediocre reviews on Yelp.
The owner contracted PMP Consulting to investigate and identify the sources of the problems. We visited all locations repeatedly to both compare and contrast customer service, menu items, location and atmosphere. We analyzed the YELP reviews and ran two focus groups for each location to assess the quality of the prepared food and service. The criteria for these focus groups were based on taste, expectations, price range and overall service. The physical atmosphere was also analyzed to assess impact on customer’s quality expectations and sensibilities. Lastly, we interviewed existing and past chefs for feedback on the work requirements and culinary processes.
The findings helped to identify targeted reasons for varying revenue, so each restaurant could address this in distinct ways. The chef attrition was more complex which required a systemic investigation and exit interviews based on operations of cooking, work expectations, and work satisfaction. Most of the chefs complained there was a lack of quality sous chefs.
Our work proved to be informative to the restauranteur who was willing to invest in two of the three restaurants for marked improvements. He learned that the principal reason for chef attrition could be remedied by hiring skilled sous chefs from the neighboring culinary schools.
The assessment of quality prepared food and quality work environment were challenging, but PMP Consulting was flexible with the client in order to seek solutions and options which were not predictable. This client valued our intentional and targeted team effort to provide options for change that inevitably led to higher revenue, less attrition and greater positive visibility for two of the three restaurants. The client also learned that the third restaurant was no longer a lucrative business which he could no longer support. This awareness made him an entrepreneur with a goal, purpose, and insight(s).
A major media company required an upgrade to their outdated server in a brief period of time. This task evolved into a huge project which required significant resources to properly complete the project, maintain high quality standards and monitor the client's time effectively.
We worked closely with expert personnel to negotiate a lump sum contract of $4.5 million to complete the scope of the work. We negotiated contracts to procure a high quality server along with an HVAC expert to provide the required ventilation for the new server room.
This completed project was highly successful. We saved the client $1.1 million in various costs as a result of our excellent project management and technical expertise. The client was satisfied because we intentionally completed the project within the project schedule while also saving them funds.
One of PMP Consulting's most satisfying projects! This project involved a rundown button factory that was going out of business and had a short sale. The sale was negotiated in a few days since the business needed funds to pay their debts, and another client needed to transform the space into a functional office in the span of one month.
The lease agreement was a strenuous process as everyone wanted to save money. There were countless meetings with all parties and phone calls at all hours of the day and night. We hired an expeditor to start the required permitting process and conduct a site survey to ensure that we would be able to build an office space in the same location as the old button factory.
We decided that it was cost effective and would save valuable time buying 'ready built' cubicle spaces. We convinced the client to install VCT tiles as opposed to ceramic tile floor due to how labor intensive the installation of ceramic tile would have been.
We saved the client an enormous sum of money and time buying limited desks at a local auction. We managed to make the new office space move-in ready in 25 days by working on weekends and working 9-hour shifts.
PMP Consulting Services successfully moved a corporation's office to an entirely new space for approximately 75 employees.
The new space was a much larger location, but with no access to Wi-Fi. Closely watching the financial restraints, we hired an experienced IT team for the installation of Wi-Fi. In addition, furniture and printers were purchased along with a complete list of employee expectations regarding cubicle and/or office spaces.
The most critical part of this project was hiring movers that would be able to conduct the entire move in one weekend ( two days) as the client and their employees had to have a working office, internet up and running, and all of their furniture ready and in place on Monday morning at 8:00 am.
